On February 4th, my aunts and cousin on my dad's side visited. We had so much fun catching up and having lunch! Here's a picture of all of us:
Since Makenzie can crawl, pull up, and is VERY curious, she's into everything. She loves the dishwasher. She knows the sound of me unloading dishes and once she hears it, is on an immediate mission to get in my way. I've resorted to doing the dishes while she naps. One day when she's old enough, she will be trained by me on how to properly load a dishwasher (aka, MY way) and then she can take over that task. It just so happens that the same face she is making in the picture below, is what I get when I put on lip gloss. So . . . she gets some too!
Here's Makenzie with Madeline's rocking horse, Rudolph. She loves him and has been caught lovingly staring at him through the bars in her crib. I haven't decided if her favorite thing is riding him or playing with his mane (she always ends up with a few strands of fur in her hands).
Here's Makenzie with her friend Luke on their first playdate! They had three baskets of toys to play with and of course, needed to play with the same one at the same time. They shared nicely! They are one day apart (although I don't remember who is older). We have another playdate scheduled for Tuesday.
Makenzie really likes to have her picture taken. When she can crawl to the camera, that's what she does. But when she can't, we get a cheesy smile like the one below. As if we didn't take enough pictures, now we take twice as many because usually she's smiling so big her eyes are closed. In this picture she's opening a Valentine package from the Wilsons.
Here's Makenzie in her Valentine's Day outfit. We had a great day of quality family time and that night we babysat Charlie while Chris & Sarah went out to dinner! Makenzie & Charlie had a lot of fun playing together. We are hoping he inspires her to start walking. She was looking at him as if thinking, hmmm . . . he's only a little bigger than me and look what he can do.
Here are Makenzie & Charlie playing. They both like the camera!
Makenzie's shoe, Daddy's shoe! Oh, and Valentine's outfit number two. Tights and a skirt can get so uncomfortable; it was time for pants.
