Makenzie's Uncle Eric visited for his birthday and we went to San Antonio. This was Makenzie's first trip to my hometown; the first of MANY. We took her to the zoo, to ride the Brackenridge Eagle train, and visited with family. She was such a trooper at the zoo for 6 hours in the Texas August heat but it wasn't as hot as we expected and she mostly slept (and sweat, thanks to the genes handed down from her parents). I think Makenzie's favorite part was seeing the fish. It was a lot of fun and when it cools off I hope to take her to the Fort Worth zoo to see how it compares. Here are pictures from the trip.
